Tropical Celebrations at The Residence Maldives This festive season, a tropical carnival of celebration awaits at both Dhigurah and Falhumaafushi islands, and guests can look forward to a multitude of celebrations and festive experiences from 23rd December to 2nd January 2023. 

Guests can reconnect with loved ones and enjoy the magic of the season with family-friendly activities and dining experiences – From the Christmas gala dinner, Gingerbread house-making to Santa’s arrival at The Residence Maldives and more: On Friday, 23rd December 2022, indulge in a true Maldivian Sensation with the family-friendly activities to delight the children, from Hermit Cab Race to Bashi Ball which tributes an ancient Maldivian game and traditionally played with a hand-woven ball made from coconut palm leaves. 

Come night-time, guests can indulge in a magical evening of Maldivian Flavours, with a feast of local flavours that spotlight the culture of the archipelago.

On Saturday, 24th December 2022, guests can celebrate their Christmas Eve with Glam Luau Night, with a range of activities from Morning to Night such as the Santa Dive where the magic of Christmas begins with Santa Claus personally leading the dive, and the Christmas Eve Gala in the evening to indulge in a joyous feast. On Sunday, 25th December, start the Christmas day in festive spirit where the scenic view of sunset is set to mesmerize onboard a traditional Maldivian dhoni boat for a Sunset Dolphin Cruise and experience an evening filled with delectable experiences, relishing in the BBQ flavours or a lavish Seafood extravaganza dinner paired with fine wine for a sumptuous dining experience.

The seasonal celebrations continue through boxing day as guests will experience a taste of the tropics at the Tropical Night Market and days leading up to New Year’s Eve. Embark on a Snorkelling Treasure Hunt on the 27th December and thereafter on the 28th December, set sail to explore the untouched beauty on an desert island adventure and begin the evening of enchanting music paired with exotic cocktails at a Tiki Tropical Party, where guests will be treated to a thoughtfully curated menu that evokes a tropical atmosphere.

Following this, The Residence Maldives is set to celebrate and welcome the New Year with a spectacular 2023 Countdown party, where guests can dance the night away and be dazzled
by the fireworks display lighting up the sky to signal the start of a new year. Ensuring a restorative start, guests can look forward to greeting the new year with a session of Aqua Yoga With Float followed by a snorkelling expedition to explore the coral reefs in one of the unique dive sites near the resort.
