Barcelona, October 7, 2026.- Keytel, the hotel services company of Grupo Hotusa, has opened a new office in Indonesia, specifically in Bali, from where it will manage its relationship with the nearly 200 affiliated hotels it currently has across Southeast Asia.

The new office will coordinate business development and hotel account management across the region, while also serving as a launchpad for expanding Keytel’s presence into other Southeast Asian markets.

"The opening of this office reflects our commitment to growth in Southeast Asia and our desire to establish a stable and close presence in a region that is becoming increasingly relevant to international tourism," said Xavier Cortés, Managing Director of Keytel. "Our range of services has become increasingly attractive to hotels in Southeast Asia, at a time when demand from Europe is growing strongly," he added.

Supported by a local team, the new office joins the company’s international network of offices in cities including Rome, Paris, Lisbon, Cancún, Buenos Aires, Natal and Tunis.

Growth in European tourism to Asia

The opening comes amid a significant increase in passenger traffic between Europe and Asia. According to data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), this corridor recorded year-on-year growth of 12.1% in July 2026, making it the fastest-growing among the major international routes.

This figure reflects the specific momentum between the two regions, contrasting with overall global international demand, which remained virtually stable over the same period, with a slight decline of 0.1%.

Against this backdrop, Thailand remains the preferred Asian destination among Europeans for their summer holidays. Indonesia has risen to second place, while Vietnam ranks fourth after recording a spectacular increase of more than 50% in European visitor arrivals during the first seven months of 2026.

In this context, Keytel’s portfolio in Southeast Asia comprises 173 affiliated hotels, distributed strategically as follows:

Thailand: 96 hotels
Indonesia: 74 hotels
Malaysia: 1 hotel
Singapore: 1 hotel
Vietnam: 1 hotel
