Kasbah Tamadot: Three MICHELIN Keys and Restoration
At the official ceremony in Paris, Kasbah Tamadot was awarded an outstanding Three MICHELIN Keys, acknowledging it as ‘an extraordinary stay and one of the world’s most remarkable hotels’, an accolade received by only 143 properties worldwide this year. Son Bunyola Hotel & Villas, which opened in 2023, was honoured with One MICHELIN Key, recognising it as ‘a very special stay with character, personality, and service that goes the extra mile to create unforgettable experiences’.
Kasbah Tamadot, located in the foothills of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, re-opened one year ago having undergone major restoration works and expansion to include six riads and a second restaurant, following the devastating earthquake that occurred in the region in September 2023.

What Makes These Properties Exceptional
CEO of Virgin Hotels Collection, James Bermingham, said: “I am incredibly proud to see both Kasbah Tamadot and Son Bunyola recognised with MICHELIN Keys by The MICHELIN Guide 2025. At Kasbah Tamadot, the restoration following the 2023 earthquake was a real labour of love, and it is wonderful to see the resilience, skill, and dedication of our team celebrated in this way. Son Bunyola, meanwhile, has made a remarkable impact in just two years since opening, offering guests a combination of relaxation, wellness, and adventure in one of Mallorca’s most stunning locations. These awards are a testament to the passion and commitment of our teams and a reminder of the extraordinary experiences they create for every guest. It is truly fantastic to see their efforts recognised on such a prestigious global stage”.
