Minor Hotels, a global leader in hospitality, has announced new senior leadership appointments at its flagship Anantara resorts in Northern Thailand. These strategic moves underscore the group’s commitment to operational excellence and guest experience across the region.

Arnaud Béril Appointed Cluster General Manager for Anantara Chiang Mai and Anantara Golden Triangle Resorts

Minor Hotels has promoted Arnaud Béril to Cluster General Manager of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort and Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort. In this expanded role, Arnaud will oversee operations and strategic initiatives at both luxury resorts in Northern Thailand.

Returning to Anantara Chiang Mai, where he once served as Food & Beverage Manager in 2015, Arnaud brings over a decade of experience with Minor Hotels. Since joining as an intern in 2010, he has held key operational leadership roles across top Thai destinations including Koh Phangan, Bangkok, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, and Chiang Rai.

As General Manager of Anantara Golden Triangle since 2023, Arnaud has led numerous award-winning initiatives, including the launch of Canopy, A Tree Top Dining Experience, Samsarn Restaurant, and the Mekong Explorer Tents. His leadership earned him the 2024 Minor Awards of Excellence – General Manager of the Year (Asia).

Arnaud, a French national, holds a bachelor’s degree from Institut Vatel Bordeaux Hospitality Management School.

Jean-Marc Pougnet Named General Manager of Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort

Jean-Marc Pougnet has been promoted to General Manager of Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, marking a significant milestone in his career with Minor Hotels.

Jean-Marc began his journey with the group in 2018 as Food & Beverage Manager at Anantara Golden Triangle before becoming Director of Food & Beverage. He later played a key role in launching the F&B department at Avani+ Khao Lak Resort, where he most recently served as Resort Manager, overseeing a 327-key property with more than 300 staff.

With over a decade of international experience across Europe, Africa, and Asia, Jean-Marc brings a global perspective and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. He holds multiple degrees in International Hotel and Tourism Management from Ulster University and HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute, Switzerland.
