Hotel JAL City Bangkok to Open July 3 

TOKYO, JAPAN, June 9, 2023—Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hotel Okura Co., Ltd., is pleased to announce that the new Hotel JAL City Bangkok will open on July 3, 2023. It had originally been planned to open the hotel in May 2020, but the global COVID pandemic caused the opening to be postponed. With the recent easing of travel restrictions, demand for hotel accommodation is recovering and the number of Japanese visiting Thailand has rebounded. It has therefore been decided to open the property next month, and reservations for accommodation will be accepted from June 16.

In advance of the opening, a ceremony was held in Bangkok on June 8 to mark the resumption of the project. Mr. Kikuhiko Okura, President of Okura Nikko Hotel Management, the operator of the hotel, and Mr. Wisit Eamsherangkul, Board of Director Committee, Grand Tower Enterprise, the hotel owner, attended the ceremony.

Hotel JAL City Bangkok is situated adjacent to the Hotel Nikko Bangkok, which opened in
January 2019. Thonglor BTS Skytrain station is just a three-minute walk away. Thonglor is an area extending north and south from Soi Sukhumvit 55, commonly known as Thonglor Road, in the Wattana district of central Bangkok. The area has long been home to many Japanese and other expatriates as well as wealthy Thais. The Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre and Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, along with multinational restaurants, bars, community malls and international hospitals, are all nearby, making it a prime location for both business and leisure.

Hotel JAL City Bangkok comprises 324 chic and relaxing guest rooms, each with a standard area of around 28 square meters. All bathrooms are equipped with bathtubs. Spacious 56-square-meter rooms that are suitable for long stays offer bathrooms with separate shower booths and a separate toilet. Guests will be able to use the swimming pool at the adjacent Hotel Nikko Bangkok for a fee.

The restaurant on the second floor of the hotel will serve breakfast from 5:30 a.m. for the
convenience of guests departing early. Three meeting rooms will be available.
