Alvin Jaiyaseelan, General Manager, Holiday Inn® Singapore Orchard City Centre

Singapore, November 2022 – Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alvin Jaiyaseelan as the hotel's new General Manager.

No stranger to InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), he began his journey in 2005 at Crown Plaza Kuala Lumpur and was selected for the Accelerated General Manager Development Program during his tenure in Holiday Inn Potts Point Sydney. Alvin was awarded General Manager of the Year in 2013 for the Holiday Inn brand for the Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines region and again General Manager of the Year in 2017, for Crowne Plaza brand for the South East Asia and Korea region.

Alvin brings 11 years of general management experience to Singapore after serving in Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia. Throughout his career with IHG, Alvin has demonstrated a solid commitment to all stakeholders by managing a responsible and profitable business, which earned him the trust and respect of hotel owners. His passion for people, coaching, and meaningful conversations has also helped to bring the best in his teams.

Alvin will now bring his wealth of experience to another IHG property brand in Singapore. Opened in 1985, the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre is IHG’s first brand in Singapore. "Being an iconic property with a strategic location, the hotel is endearing and synonymous amongst the locals, as well as avid travellers looking for a place to stay in the heart of Orchard Road. I am grateful to have this opportunity as the hotel's new General Manager. My focus is to guide and support the team of this much-loved hotel to the next level of hospitality whilst striving to further enhance the Holiday Inn brand values in the future.
