Karma Group Launches Elegant Nile River Cruise Vessel Karma Karnak - taking guests on a curated journey deep into Ancient Egypt…

Award-winning global boutique travel & lifestyle brand Karma Group has just launched its very first floating acquisition in Egypt. Karma Karnak is an elegant river cruise vessel that will transport guests along the Nile River, taking in the wonders of Ancient Egypt along the way.

Karma Karnak’s inauguration was celebrated with a spectacular sunset launch party on 29th September, with local dignitaries including the Governor of Luxor, the Minister of Tourism and the Chief of Police in attendance alongside Karma Group staff and guests. All were treated to Karma Group’s award-winning hospitality and entertainment, including local Egyptian delicacies, signature cocktails, fine wines and live music.

The elegant river vessel features 56 air-conditioned cabins with en-suite bathrooms. All cabins feature large picture windows which gaze out over the Nile River and its vivid banks. There is a selection of eateries serving exquisite local and international dishes, a choice of interior and al fresco bars, as well as an elevated pool deck & lounge that’s perfect for taking in the extraordinary sights that unfold throughout the voyage.

Chief among these are the Millennia-old temples, tombs and statuary of the Ancient Egyptian dynasties - including celebrated attractions like the Valley of the Kings and Queens, once part of the ancient city of Thebes; the Tomb of Tutankhamun - which was discovered a hundred years ago complete with solid gold coffin and countless other treasures inclsding the mummified body of the great Pharaoh himself; Abu Simbel with its massive temples cut into the living rock and of course the huge Temple complex of Karnak close to Luxor, from which Karma’s new cruise vessel takes its name.

During the course of Karma Karnak’s curated cruises, guests will also enjoy a deep dive into contemporary Egyptian culture, discovering the country’s unique culinary traditions, local arts and crafts and hip neighbourhoods.

“I believe that for many people a trip to Egypt sits high on their holiday bucket list and it certainly has always been so for me,” says Karma Group Chairman and Founder John Spence. “Therefore, I am extremely excited that we have acquired this 56 cabin Nile cruise ship operating between Luxor and Aswan! The Nile itself is a simply magnificent river - the cruises will be curated and include excursions, fascinating talks on Egyptology and a unique chance to experience the timeless beauty of the local culture.”

Karma Karnak makes its debuts this month, launching from Luxor, where the first group of lucky guests will enjoy the newly refurbished vessel on the first of memorable journeys down the Nile River - exploring contemporary and Ancient Egypt.
