12 Days of Karma

Celebrate an unforgettable holiday season with the 12 Days of Karma:

Themed feasts and international DJ sessions are just the beginning…

Karma Group’s flagship Bali resort Karma Kandara is gearing up for a festive season to remember, with a near fortnight of feasting, cultural happenings, beachfront sundowners, wellness rituals, gala gatherings and much more…

12 Days of Karma, our annual end of year extravaganza unfolds between December 23, 2022 and January 3, 2023, with a packed daily schedule of events at venues across Karma Kandara and beyond catering to every age and agenda. As is customary, our 12 Days celebrations kick off with the ceremonial lighting of the Karma Christmas Tree at Temple Lounge accompanied by cocktails, canapes and a live DJ. The following evening, the festive vibe ramps up with our Christmas Eve dinner accompanied by Christmas Carols sung by the children of Bali Life Orphanage.

One of the culinary highlights of 12 Days of Karma is a special seasonal edition of acclaimed Chef Joseph Antonishek’s hugely popular Cali-wine-ication event on 29 December, where Chef Joe pairs five wines from a favourite California vineyard with his own carefully curated dishes.

Other highlights include daily cocktail specials prepared especially for the occasion -like the zesty Star Light (gin, calamansi lemongrass cordial, osmanthus, kaffir lime ginger beer) for example. International DJs will be soundtracking sunsets down at Le Club 22, Karma Beach while other entertainment includes traditional Balinese dance and even a special circus performance. Our New Year’s Gala Dinner and Party this year takes a South American theme with dishes from countries around the continent, before a bevy of international DJs led by Ibiza legend Jon Sa Trinxa get the party started down at Karma Beach…

There is space to wind down too, with a wellness schedule that will keep you fresh, centred and energised with daily practices from yoga to Tai Chi to meditation and of course a panoply of indulgent spa rituals at Karma Spa, on the cliff edge high above the Indian Ocean.

Kids are a big part of our celebrations too of course. The Three Monkeys Kids Club has put together a fun-filled agenda for our younger guests with a host of activities from balloon games to Christmas T-Shirt painting to scavenger hunts down at Karma Beach and much, much more.

Of course this is also the season for giving, and Karma Kandara will be doing plenty of it through the Karma Cares initiative, a joint effort with Bali Life Foundation, where guests are invited to donate IDR 300,000 to a giving tree. The money will be used to purchase gifts for children in need and handed out by Santa to the disadvantaged young people that BLF supports.

So get ready for the perfect end to 2022 combined with the perfect start to 2023 with 12 Days of Karma!
