The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai – Opening Spring 2023


In spring 2023, Dorchester Collection will grow from nine to ten hotels when its first Middle East property, The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai, opens its doors.

Developed in partnership with OMNIYAT – the visionary real estate development group – The Lana is located in Business Bay and overlooks the vibrant Downtown area. The hotel will have 225 guest rooms and suites and is set in a striking 30-storey tower designed by the award-winning architects Foster + Partners that perfectly captures the essence of its destination and will bring an unparalleled ultra-luxury experience to Dubai. The hotel will offer a selection of world-class dining experiences and an expansive spa and pool areas with panoramic views.




THE DORCHESTER, LONDON

The Dorchester is one of the world’s most recognised and acclaimed hotels. Perfectly situated in the heart of London since 1931, this vibrant hotel stands tall in Mayfair with Hyde Park on its doorstep. As part of the most comprehensive renovation in over three decades, The Dorchester has engaged with the most renowned names in design and architecture to transform the hotel: Pierre-Yves Rochon is redesigning the entrance, The Promenade, new Cake & Flowers boutique, and the guest rooms and suites; and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio has been appointed to redesign the bar. The new look will be unveiled this autumn.

At The Dorchester Spa, an exclusive partnership with world-renowned cosmetic specialist, Dr. Uliana Gout has recently been introduced. A pioneer and thought leader in evidence-based aesthetic medicine, Dr. Gout brings her cosmetic expertise to The Dorchester Spa through an exclusive residency available to guests. Dr. Gout has curated a LAM Luxe menu of cosmetic treatments, a first for The Dorchester.

Following the successful launch in summer last year, The Dorchester Rooftop reopened its terrace restaurant and bar this summer with a Mediterranean menu concept devised by Jean-Philippe Blonder executive chef of Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and executed by head chef Bastien Bertaina. The 64-cover rooftop restaurant has views across London and offers a Mediterranean menu inspired by Jean-Philippe’s childhood on the Riviera with an enticing cocktail list to accompany in partnership with Courvoisier.

45 PARK LANE, LONDON

45 Park Lane is a potent, living canvas for an evolving collection of work by contemporary British artists. Until 6 September, the hotel will showcase a selection of Amy Judd’s artworks – Efflorescence – the largest collection of work ever to be shown by the artist in one location. These floral and feather works in new vibrant colours offer viewers a never-before-seen angle to Judd’s painting practice. The works convey transformation and transcendence through the intriguing protagonists who sit in a still, silent meditative space, always partly concealed.

An extension of CUT comes the newly opened CUT terrace, open daily for lunch and dinner from 12pm. The space, situated directly adjacent to the restaurant on the corner of Park Lane and Curzon Street, is accessible through the hotel’s main entrance. The terrace offers an additional 22 seats with a Captain’s Table, inspired by the glamorous mid-century design of a Riva yacht, which can accommodate up to six guests. The space is overlooked by the trees of Hyde Park and a sleek, frameless glazed screen creates a shelter to this light-flooded dining area, which mirrors the architectural design of 45 Park Lane.

COWORTH PARK, ASCOT

The Spa at Coworth Park is delighted to introduce five new treatments in partnership with Germaine de Capuccini including an exclusive treatment - Radiance Vitamin C Face and Body Signature Therapy.

New treatments include the Coworth Park Luminescence signature facial, combining Vitamin C and LED therapy, a Mediterranean candle massage, which a choice of lavender, olive and citrus scents, and its Elements inspired massage, based on traditional Chinese philosophy and bespoke to the individual using one of five, active, pre-blended aromatherapy oils.

HÔTEL PLAZA ATHÉNÉE, PARIS

Following the success of Le Relais Plaza – which opened in September last year - Hôtel Plaza Athénée unveiled its eagerly anticipated new gastronomic restaurant, Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée earlier this year. After just nine weeks of launching, the restaurant gained its first Michelin star, marking a new culinary chapter at the hotel.

The hotel has this summer unveiled its third restaurant overseen by Jean Imbert, La Cour Jardin. The seasonal courtyard restaurant is nestled right in the heart of the hotel and is open for the summer season, seating up to 80 people. The new seasonal menu is inspired by the seasonal produce of France and is cooked with passion and simplicity. With highlights which include ‘sea bream and preserved lemon’, ‘beef prime rib with chimichurri sauce and paprika street corner potatoes’ and ‘the great Niçoise’, La Cour Jardin is the perfect place for a relaxing sun-drenched lunch with friends or a romantic dinner for two.

HOTEL EDEN, ROME

This summer, Hotel Eden has introduced three new experiences for guests to explore the wider region and stunning Roman countryside: from driving in a sports car north of Rome, to sailing the coastline of two little islands near Lazio, Ponza and Palmarola; and exploring the underground vaults of the MAXXI Museum, which are not open to the public, with an expert art historian and conservation expert.

Following the success of In the footsteps of legendary artists walking trails at Dorchester Collection’s Le Meurice, Paris, guests at Hotel Eden, can now discover the story of Caravaggio’s extraordinary life through the Rebel and Rome trail. The trail delves deep into Caravaggio’s rags to riches daring life, a life inspired and seduced by a cast of colourful characters – from wealthy patrons to gamblers, models and fortune-tellers – and inextricably linked to the city he called home. As dramatic and distinctive as his paintings, discover how amidst his chaotic and exceptionally short lifetime armed with an incredible talent, he created ground-breaking work that quickly revolutionised the history of art.

HOTEL PRINCIPE DI SAVOIA, MILAN

Embracing all that the region has to offer, Hotel Principe di Savoia provides international travellers with a unique opportunity to rediscover Milan and the wider region of Lombardy, with eight exclusive experiences available to hotel guests.

For a one-of-a-kind experience, the hotel can organise a private viewing of one of the most famous and influential murals in the world, ‘The Last Supper’ by the great Leonardo da Vinci. The painting still resides on the walls of Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, where it was painted in the 1490s. This unique experience will take place during closing hours, so hotel guests can enjoy the artistic masterpiece without crowds and without any time constraints (a usual visit lasts maximum 20 minutes).

As well as exclusive access to landmarks in the city itself, such as a behind-the-scenes tour of its famous La Scala theatre, the hotel can also organise private excursions in the wider region including wine tasting in Barolo or Franciacorta, a Riva sailing experience on Lake Iseo, a helicopter flight over the Italian Alps for lunch in Valtellina, and a visit to the beautiful town of Cremona to visit the famous Museum Stradivari to view the eclectic collection of antique violins and lutes.

The hotel has also put together a tour to discover Milan’s incredible design spaces with an expert guide from Fondazione studio Museo Vico Magistretti and Achille Castiglioni who will take guests through the big names and spaces of the city. The tour includes a visit to La Triennale, the first Design Italian Museum and lunch at their restaurant La Terrazza. The hotel can also organize private visits of well-known designer spaces such as Patricia Urquiola, Nina Yashar or Laboratorio Paravicini, a beloved Milanese ceramic house.

THE BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL, BEVERLY HILLS

The Beverly Hills Hotel celebrates its 110th anniversary this year with a series of initiatives throughout 2022 to honour the legendary hotel that the city of Beverly Hills was built around. These include themed banana leaf nail art inspired by the hotel’s iconic design, anniversary cocktails in the Polo Lounge, a summer poolside movie series featuring Troop Beverly Hills, a Bert Stern exhibition in the hotel lobby featuring photographs of esteemed guest Elizabeth Taylor, and a special edition of the famous McCarthy Salad, paired with a bottle of Dom Pérignon and served in a commemorative bowl made by Bernardaud which guests can take home with them. Finally, guests can pen their love letter to The Beverly Hills Hotel on custom stationary which will in turn become part of the history of The Beverly Hills Hotel in years to come.

HOTEL BEL-AIR, LOS ANGELES 

The popular Wolfgang Puck barbecue extravaganza at Hotel Bel-Air returns in style on September 6 with guests dining at communal tables amidst lush hotel grounds and colourful gardens. Master Chef Wolfgang Puck and executive chef Connor McVay are joined by chefs Francis Mallmann, Nancy Silverton, Eric Werner, Adam Perry Lang, Burt Backman, and friends for the ultimate barbecue party on the hotel’s front lawn. Taking place at the hotel from September 1 – November 23, a specially commissioned exhibition by artist Seth Kinmont aims to transport guests millions of years into the future, through a series of small-scale sculptures. These cast aluminium pieces reflect some of his favourite works by contemporary artists, transformed by climate change into new thought-provoking forms. The exhibition will be complimentary and open to the public. Sculptures will be available to purchase with proceeds donated to the Colossus Foundation, supporting artists of the future.
