Rescheduled, ITE Hong Kong 2022 will be held from August 18 (Thu) to 21 (Sun) instead of June, which mean more time for preparation and better time to boost tourism recovery! We welcome you to exhibit.
Quality visitors eager to travel! Survey in late April on ITE public visitors which received over 1400 replies found nearly 50% respondents to travel abroad within 6 months; 57% will increase travel budget in coming year, and some 60% took local travel in past 6 months etc.! Indication of Strong Pent-up Travel Demand
As residents started going abroad, re-opening quicken in Hong Kong!
In the first 8 days of March, some 26000 Hong Kong citizens went abroad with over 70% departures from the airport! Daily number of new cases in Hong Kong dropped to triple digits in April then to between 200 and 300 in May!
On May 1, Hong Kong start admitting vaccinated foreign visitors but quarantine still required; lift flight ban; and cut short quarantine for vaccinated residents to 7 days. Cathay announced on May 11 to resume summer flights.
Pre-pandemic, Hong Kong spent in each year over US$ 25 billion on international travel and ranked often Asia’s third largest source market.
ITE 2022 timely for promoting Post-Pandemic Travel
The successful holding a physical ITE 2021 boost confidence. Occupied 5000 SQM, ITE2021 physically attended by over 100 exhibitors (675)* from 18 countries and regions (55)*, 2544 registered trade (some 11000)* and 27106 public visitors (over 70000)*, while others attended online. The August date of ITE 2022 can be timely and effective platform for promoting post pandemic travel for seller making early preparations to satisfy pent-up travel demand! Also, ITE provides a valuable platform for sellers to explain new health and hygiene requirements and measures will be in place, and will there be extra flexibility in booking etc to potential buyers.
Again, ITE in the first 1.5 days will admit only registered trade visitors; and in last 2.5 days public visitors can pay onsite for admission and exhibitors can sell Outbound and Local Travel products direct to high end visitors! Government subsidies mean all exhibitors pay before deadline enjoy 10% discount on rental.

ITE equipped one onsite forum with facility for live-streaming on Facebook, which exhibitors can take turn to use it.
