THE NEW IRENE FORTE SPAS

ROCCO FORTE HOTELS PRESENT THE NEW IRENE FORTE SPAS

Results-driven and ethically motivated, Irene Forte Spas will couple the regenerative power of nature and science to offer innovative experiences with Mediterranean flair

Following the success of Irene Forte Skincare, Rocco Forte Hotels is delighted to announce the launch of Irene Forte Spas on 1st April 2022. Villa Igiea, the Rocco Forte hotel in Palermo, will launch its new spa with the concept, in addition to Verdura Resort in Sicily, Masseria Torre Maizza in Puglia, and Hotel de la Ville in Rome.

Irene Forte’s personal ambition to create incomparable spas has resulted in a range of treatments and experiences that diffuse the essence of Mediterranean wellness. Physical, emotional and spiritual health are addressed in luxurious Italian settings where innovative Irene Forte Skincare products and advanced technologies are used by expert practitioners to restore body and soul.

Intrinsic to Irene Forte Skincare, which has the prestigious B Corp certification, the highest ethical standards stand as a cornerstone of the spas. The spas are working with the Sustainable Spa Association and have partnered with positive change agents, such as First Mile to recycle all professional products, and B Corp certified company WAMI to supply water. Irene Forte Spas work with local artisans and retail sustainable Italian brands, such as B Corp certified company Back Label and Danié Made in Sicily. In addition, the spas only use recycled paper to print; they are also focused on eradicating single-use plastic, minimising their carbon footprint, and working to become water equal.

The location of each of the Irene Forte Spas offers a unique and distinctive experience. Masseria Torre Maizza presents an intimate spa ideal for a romantic moment of indulgence in the Puglian olive groves, while Verdura’s expansive spa is set to a backdrop of the rolling Sicilian terrain. Across Sicily, the Spa at Villa Igiea overlooks the Gulf of Palermo, a tranquil setting complete with blue skies and aqua sea views; and Hotel de la Ville’s enigmatic spa is a cocooning hideaway in the centre of Rome.

Each experience fuses the regenerative powers of nature and science, while also highlighting the Italian heritage of Irene Forte Spas. Locally made Burgio Bells are rung at the beginning and end of every treatment, and handmade Sicilian ceramics are used in the treatments for inhalation bowls, foot bowls, and to display products. The floral scent of orange blossom fills the air, complementing the Sicilian botanicals from Verdura’s Organic Farm that enrich the Irene Forte Skincare products. Irene Forte Skincare’s proprietary range has achieved outstanding results in clinical and user trials with natural ingredients in formulations shaped by 35 years of skincare research and development. The products are also clinically approved for sensitive skin and certified vegan. This is all complemented by innovative, high technology integrated into the advanced facials and body treatments, carried out by an expert team of Therapists and Specialists.

Facials range from the Etna Age-Defying Facial, which integrates hot and cold volcanic stones from Mount Etna with a triple facial massage technique to rebalance, revitalize and defy ageing; to the signature Forte Facial Massage, which includes pressure point and a deep tissue face work out to enhance natural collagen production. If technology-based treatments are preferred, the Rigenerante Zemits Facial which lifts and plumps the skin through the use of Oxygen, Microcurrent and LED.

The wide selection of body treatments includes the typically local Sicilian Earth and Sea Toning Treatment using Trapani sea salt and a nutrient-rich algae and clay mud wrap, the Mediterranean Nourishing Treatment based on nourishing Sicilian oils and the Sicilian White Wine Body Cream. Irene Forte Spas also offer Endosphères, a non-invasive treatment for body contouring, muscle toning, Lymphatic drainage, cellulite reduction and pain relief. Amongst these is the two-hour Body Transforming Endosphères, leaving the body sculpted and completely revitalised following a treatment where the Compressive Microvibration® method is coupled with Irene Forte Skincare products to improve lymphatic and venous circulation and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Supported by science, Irene Forte Spas have partnered with The Amethyst Trust, a Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care (SATCC), to provide therapies for those living with and recovering from cancer. The Restorative Facial and Nurturing Massage start with guided breathwork, and are personalised by an SATCC accredited therapist to suit individual needs, relaxing and soothing body and mind, while promoting a deep sense of peace.

All classic beauty services ranging from nail care to hairdressing are also available and offered in an array of packages from special day spas to weekend express or week-long detox programs.

With its emphasis on Nourish, Fitness, Mind, Community and Sustainability, the Rocco Forte Wellness strategy addresses complete enrichment and unity of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Together, Rocco Forte Wellness and Irene Forte Spas aim to provide a balanced, effective framework for an enhanced, Forte Life.

Irene Forte Skincare

The proprietary Irene Forte Skincare range achieves outstanding results with natural ingredients in formulations shaped by 35 years of skincare research and development. Based on the research of her Scientific Director Dr. Francesca Ferri- a pioneer in the medical use of plant extracts to treat skin conditions- Irene has introduced novel ingredients in products which have shown profound results in independent clinical and user trials.

The core ingredients are harvested at Verdura’s Organic Farm in Sicily, and alongside these we have integrated zero-waste upcycled ingredients, made from nutrient-rich plant-based leftovers. Irene’s insistence on plant-based sources means all our ingredients are certified vegan.

Irene Forte’s approach is distinguished by her high ethical standards that make sustainability a primary business focus. In recognition of these standards Irene Forte Skincare has already achieved B Corp status and been awarded the Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury for sustainable excellence.

In just over two years, Irene Forte Skincare has developed twenty-six products, and has expanded into 40 retailers, including Net-a-Porter (globally), Nordstrom, Liberty, Flannels and most recently, Amazon Luxury Stores. 2022 will see the brand continuing its expansion plans with launches in many more retailers, including Bon Marché, Bergdorf Goodman, John Bell & Croyden and C.O Bigelow. It also sees the launch of four Irene Forte Spas across Italy.
