Top-class keynotes: the Heimtextil Conference “Sleep & More”

The day of sleep on June 21 marks the start of the conference, which takes place on the first three days of this year’s Heimtextil Summer Special. As a national day of action in Germany, the day of sleep was launched in 2000 on the initiative of the association “Day of sleep eV” and raises awareness of the importance of sleep and its impact on the quality of life every year.

Markus Kamps , sleep consultant and founder of “Schlafaktion”, will open the conference on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with a lecture on sleep myths and on the following day provide important help on how to get back to a rested sleep during and after the pandemic. dr Hans-Günther Wees from the German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine shares the latest research findings – taking into account the influence of Corona on global sleeping habits. Carsten Schmid from Brainlit is one of the Sleep & More speakers with insights into the importance of biocentric lighting during the day and in the evening. Jens Speil from MyCircul will also present the latest approaches to using tracking gadgets and show how important regular sleep and apnea screenings are.

On Wednesday, visitors can look forward to a panel highlight: sleep consultant Eva Bovet from Betten Raab, managing director Thaela Schlosser from Feder & Bettenfachhandlung and Markus Kamps will discuss how bed specialists and retailers can open up new target groups through the successful use of podcasts and be able to win customers via approachable auditory content formats. These and other keynotes make the Heimtextil Conference “Sleep & More” the place to go for representatives of the bedding trade, who can expect a top-class program with lectures, panel discussions and product presentations.

Sleep& More: New format builds bridges to hospitality and sustainability

In addition to advice and product offers for the bedding trade, the new concept format “Sleep & More” also provides valuable orientation for hotel industry decision-makers and highlights hospitality trends, especially from the point of view of sustainability: How can mattresses be part of the circular economy? And what will the sustainable hotel room of the future look like? Hospitality and sustainability experts bundle the collective knowledge of the industry and give visitors inspiration and impetus for their future actions.

Bed expert Jens Rosenbaum from Swissfeel Germany, for example, builds a bridge to the hotel industry in two keynote speeches and shows how the sustainability potential of hotel beds can be used and how associations and industry are working on solutions for a green future for hotel rooms. Hotel industry expert Julia von Klitzing from the Hotel-Kompetenz-Zentrum looks at the hospitality industry from the perspective of Generation Z and provides important insights into how the target group of tomorrow imagines their stay in hotels.

A complete overview of these and numerous other speakers can be found on the Heimtextil website under “Topics & Events” from April 2022.
