Rome, January 28, 2026 – This January, Dorchester Collection’s Hotel Eden in Rome is pleased to showcase the second exhibition series of Echoes Through Time, in partnership with Galleria Russo, one of Italy’s oldest art galleries. The exhibition by Chiara Sorgato launched on January 15, 2026, inviting guests on an artistic journey through the hotel. From La Libreria and the Sala Borghese to the sixth floor, each space has been transformed into a place of reflection and topical inspiration.

Living and working in Milan, Sorgato is an internationally recognised artist whose paintings explore social, political and anthropological themes with a particular focus on female identity and contemporary power dynamics.



Her work draws on Greek mythology and statistical data, using painting as a tool to analyse rather than represent. Mythological figures such as Elena and Lysistrata, who symbolise beauty, temptation and female leadership, and Pandora who was the first human woman created by the gods, appear as timeless symbols; through which Sorgato examines gender issues and social inequalities.



Echoes Through Time brings together four contemporary artists: Manuel Felisi, Giorgio Tentolini, Chiara Sorgato and Enrico Benetta each offering a personal interpretation of time and memory. The opening exhibition in winter 2025 featured Manuel Felisi, whose layered works explored the concept of time through painting and installation. Subsequent exhibitions include Giorgio Tentolini in spring 2026 and Enrico Benetta in winter 2026.



On the exhibition, Hotel Eden’s general manager Mirko Cattini says, “This collaboration between Galleria Russo and Hotel Eden stems from the meeting of two historic entities, both of which are deeply woven into Rome’s cultural and entrepreneurial fabric. By combining excellence in luxury hospitality with a century of experience in the art world, we wanted to offer a project that goes beyond just an exhibition. Instead, this is a lively dialogue between past and present, and between art and hospitality, that will enrich the guest experience. We are honoured to collaborate with Galleria Russo and host an exciting artistic journey dedicated to four contemporary artists, united by a common vision of time and memory.”

GALLERIA RUSSO



Founded in Rome in 1898 by Pasquale Addeo, Galleria Russo is a well-established and widely recognised presence within the Italian art scene. Now owned by Addeo’s great grandson, Fabrizio Russo, the gallery has over a century of history, standing out for the quality of its works and collaborations with major artists. Among those represented were Giorgio di Chirico, with whom an exclusive contract was signed for over twenty years.



From its beginnings on Via del Babuino, the gallery expanded to prestigious locations such as Piazza di Spagna, Via della Croce, and Via Alibert, playing a key role in the promotion of modern and contemporary art in Italy. Today, Galleria Russo remains a point of reference for collectors and art enthusiasts, hosting exhibitions dedicated to the great masters of the 20th century.



CHIARA SORGATO



Born in Padua in 1985, Chiara Sorgato currently lives and works in Milan. She graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2004, and in 2012 was honoured as a fellow at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation.



Sorgato’s work combines social and anthropological issues with scientific data to raise questions about the contemporary world. She often places women at the centre of her work, capturing a snapshot of society that is seen through her eyes and represented through the research and study of data.



Sorgato has worked with various galleries and foundations throughout her career and has participated in national and international exhibitions held in both public and private museum spaces.



MANUEL FELISI



Born in Milan in 1976, Manuel Felisi’s art blends traditional methods with technological innovation, with this versatility being the key to his research.



His work includes post-modern installations and paintings created using a laborious manual layering process that begins with the application of rubbery pigment over the entire surface of the canvas. Once prepared, the background is engraved with an old roller used for wall decoration and then made vibrant by fluid drops of colour and applications of vintage fabrics that he has sought out from all over the world. The process is completed by the addition of a digital photographic image that has been reduced to a silhouette by strong solarisation.



His works have been exhibited internationally, including the notable exhibition, Manuel Felisi. 1:1, in collaboration with National Geographic and the Bioparco di Roma. Two of his large-scale works, Vertigine, are currently installed in Terminal 1 of Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.



GIORGIO TENTOLINI



Born in Casalmaggiore in 1978, Giorgio Tentolini creates art that explores time, memory, and identity through the layered use of materials such as tulle, wire, mesh, paper and PVC. His works, suspended between painting and sculpture, are marked by a refined visual and conceptual lightness.



Tentolini’s works have been showcased in major international venues across Europe, the United States and Taiwan, and featured in prestigious institutions such as the Palazzo Reale in Milan and the Etruscan Museum in Rome. In 2024, he exhibited in the 60th Biennale di Venezia, representing the Cameroon Pavilion with a project entitled ‘Nemo propheta in patria’, which focuses on the origins of humanity.



ENRICO BENETTA



Born in Montebelluna in 1977, Enrico Benetta received his bachelor’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and master’s degree in Rome. His work combines art and typography, with an original use of the Bodoni typeface and materials such as Cor-Ten steel, creating pieces that blend painting, sculpture, and installation.



Benetta’s work has featured in numerous solo and group shoes both in Italy and abroad, including the Biennale di Venezia and Art Basel Miami. His pieces stand out for their evocative power and the dialogue between word, material and time.
