Saudi Launches Nusuk In Bahasa Indonesia At Trade Roadshow In Jakarta
Nusuk is an integrated digital government platform that will make it easier than ever for pilgrims to travel for Umrah and visit Makkah and Madinah
Jakarta, 24 October 2022 – Following the global announcement of the integrated digital government platform Nusuk last month, Saudi hosted its inaugural in-person roadshow in Jakarta, under the leadership of His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah and Chairman of the Pilgrim Experience Program, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, to launch the platform officially in Bahasa Indonesia and share its ambitions of welcoming more Muslims to Saudi than ever.

As part of the broader program, Nusuk, an initiative of the Vision 2030 Pilgrim Experience Program, will expand the range of choice and enhance and enrich the overall experience for Muslims visiting Saudi. The platform will enable simpler arrival procedures for visitors to perform Umrah and a new range of services that will include facilitating visas, permits, booking processes and procedures along with special packages for Makkah, Madina and a host of other historical religious sites in Saudi.
By easing the process, Saudi is opening a gateway and anticipates to significantly increase the number of pilgrims and visitors from Indonesia over the next 12 months. By removing obstacles and barriers, Saudi is opening a gateway that will enable more Muslims than ever to visit Makkah and Madinah for Umrah and Ziyara.

During the roadshow, memorandums of understanding (MoU)s were signed with the aim of driving Umrah visitation to Saudi and enhancing collaboration for future Umrah partnerships. Representatives from Nusuk also met with Indonesia’s leading travel and Umrah partners and DMCs to discuss Saudi’s religious, cultural and historical sites, along with efforts to enhance air connectivity from Indonesia to Saudi.
Fahd Hamidaddin, Nusuk Managing Director, stated, “The launch of Nusuk was one of the most significant announcements since the Saudi eVisa in 2019 and since its launch one month ago, has had more than half a million people visit the website. We are on a journey of continuous innovation and today’s launch of the platform in Bahasa Indonesia is a showcase of our agility to respond to market needs.”

Indonesian citizens are required to apply for a visa to visit Saudi. Saudi has now lifted all travel Covid restrictions for international travelers and visitors from Indonesia. Visitors on any Saudi visa will be able to perform Umrah, outside of Hajj season.
