SWISS-BELHOTEL INTERNATIONAL SCOOPS 4 ACCOLADES AT TRI HITA KARANA BALI 2017 AWARDS


Four general managers from Swiss-Belhotel International hotels on Bali proudly show off their Gold and Silver awards

BALI, INDONESIA: Global hospitality management chain Swiss-Belhotel International has received four prestigious awards from the Tri Hita Karana foundation on Bali, a well-established island organisation that’s respected and recognized as a compass for development and innovation in sustainable tourism.

Swiss-Belhotel Rainforest Kuta received a Gold Award from the Tri Hita Karana foundation, having won Silver in 2016. Swiss-Belhotel Tuban also won for the second year running, matching its Gold Award last year with another Gold for 2017. Meanwhile, Swiss-Belresort Watu Jimbar and Swiss-Belhotel Segara were each recognised for the first time with a Gold Award and Silver Award, respectively.

“We are passionate about protecting the vibrant culture on Bali, not just because it is a main engine for tourism, but because it is the cultural heritage of our teams. The Tri Hita Karana reminds us to be mindful of the relationship between humans and God, humans and fellow humans, humans and nature – a balance which translates into more meaningful guest experiences at all our resorts,” said Christopher MacLean.

The annual awards recognise government institutions, universities, schools, 3-, 4- and 5-hotels and for their commitment to preserving local Balinese culture. Each establishment has to undergo a stringent assessment carried out by a team of experts in their respective fields. The assessments took place in October 2017, and the winners were announced on November 25th.

The awards ceremony will be held at Gedung Ksirarnawa, Art Center Denpasar On 25th November 2017, which is attended by approximately 150 hospitality industry guests every year.
