Bangkok’s Hottest Peruvian Japanese Rooftop Bar & Restaurant Opens In Bali

Jimbaran, Bali- June 2017 - Soho Hospitality in collaboration with Summarecon is proud to announce the opening Above Eleven in Bali, Indonesia, following the success of its flagship rooftop restaurant and bar in Bangkok. The first of its kind in South East Asia, Above Eleven features authentic Peruvian Japanese cuisine with stunning interiors and mesmerizing views from the rooftop of Samasta Lifestyle Village in Jimbaran.

Above Eleven Bali, like its Bangkok counterpart has been designed by Soho Hospitality to create a unique park-in-the-sky concept. Inspired by the great urban parks of the world, Above Eleven Bali’s interiors are meticulously designed to recreate a refreshing urban vibe for diners on the island. Enter the 258 seat restaurant through a dimly lit maze and be wowed by the green and plush surroundings of the venue where diners can choose between both indoor and outdoor seating. Guests seeking a little more upbeat experience are invited to walk through a tunnel of greenery to an extension of the venue: Gramercy Park – a young and buzzy section complete with its own cocktail & spirits bar that resembles a trendy food-truck.

Apart from the charming interiors, Above Eleven lures you in with its uniquely delectable cuisine. Nikkei cuisine is a remarkable fusion of Peruvian and Japanese food cultures stemming from the migration of the Japanese to Peru in the early 1900s. Peruvian Japanese cuisine boasts creative and colorful dishes filled with texture and robust flavors that take your senses on an exciting adventure. Chef Renzo Vacchelli, who has worked in kitchens in Peru, Germany and London is all set to bring his native expertise to Above Eleven Bali through which he promises to give diners an authentic and unforgettable experience.

Whether you’re in for something unexpected or are looking for comfort items, there’s something at Above Eleven Bali for everyone. Chef Renzo’s menu consists of traditional Peruvian classics such as a variety of Cebiches (fresh raw seafood marinated in red chilli Leche De Tigre: citrus-based marinade), Tiraditos (Peruvian style Sashimi) and much more. For the more adventurous palettes, be sure to try the chef’s recommended dishes such as Anticucho Beef Heart (Marinated Beef Heart with Peruvian sauces) and Tiradito Octopus amongst others. While the menu presents a vast range of Peruvian delicacies with strong Japanese touches, there are also some solidly Japanese favourites such as a variety of Sushi and Sashimi to accompany the menu’s exclusive cocktail list.

The man responsible for Bangkok’s many popular restaurants and bars including Above Eleven and
Managing Director of Soho Hospitality, Rohit Sachdev shares his thoughts: "We’re delighted to collaborate with Summarecon for the first international expansion of our Above Eleven brand to Bali, Indonesia.
